BBC Christmas Program - Dec 18, 2011

Just in case we hadn't had enough Christmas programs....there is a third.  I suppose that is what happens when we have two kids enrolled in two different Christian schools.  Our church also has one they put together with all the children involved.  They've been practicing for weeks during some portion of Sunday School on Sundays since after Thanksgiving.

Violet and the other K kids were the stable animals, and there wasn't much of a costume other than hats with ears.  They were floppy and cute though.  Violet was insistent that she match her costume hat (she knew it was a brown spotted cow) and requested to wear her brown dress tonight to look like a cow.  I had planned on her wearing her red Christmas dress, but I wasn't going to crush her hopes.  And plus, the brown dress is adorable too.

Violet was on stage the whole time sitting as an animal and sang every song she knew.  Calvin got to go up front with his 3 yr old class and sing two songs, Away in a Manger and Happy Birthday Lord.  Both kids did really well, sang what they knew, and smiled a lot.  They enjoyed cookies and juice afterwards.

Grandpa Jon came down by my last minute text to tell him what was going on, and he agreed to hang out, watch the show, and stay after for a few minutes.  It was great to see him and we appreciate his effort to come down to see the program despite his busy Sunday activities/responsibilities.
