We debated doing this for a long time. First we looked into options and decided it wasn't going to work. Then we decided to go for it. What is "it" you're wondering? Renting a camper to drive to Pennsylvania, that's what.
Before we left, I said "well, we're either going to love this or hate it."
Turns out the kids loved it, and the adults more or less hated it. Martha came along too.
We did have an issue with a part that feeds clean water going to the toilet - it leaked - which required lots of work to contain the water.
We were able to keep driving and not stop for bathroom breaks or meal breaks, because the camper had a full kitchen, but it was so bumpy and hard to use it just didn't seem worth it.
Anyway, *check* that one off the list.
